MAGNESIUM
Magnesium is the lightest among the metals with structural use, having a specific weight of 1.738 g/cm3.
Among the many interesting characteristics, which make it attractive and suitable for multiple uses in the most varied sectors, we recall: the best strength/specific weight ratio among all the metals of most common structural use; the exceptional dimensional stability and the high resistance to impact and dents.
Magnesium also has excellent vibration absorption capabilities and due to its low inertia it represents a valid choice for those mechanical parts that undergo frequent and sudden changes in direction of motion at high speed.
The new high purity achieved in magnesium alloys has increased resistance to corrosion.
We can supply magnesium extruded sheets and profiles in the various available alloys AZ21 / AZ 31 / AZ 61 / AZ 80.
The extrusions available in standard formats (round tubes, square tubes, flat tubes) or it is possible to make customized extrusion dies on request.
